Calim crested the final hill, and saw spread before him the sprawling metropolis of Moonhaven.  It had been a long journey, but he was home.  Once he passed the gates of the Magic city, Lelinia's troops would have no choice but to turn back.

He turned at the battle-cry behind him and saw a dozen more pursuers, less than a mile away.  Thock, Lelinia's barbarian leuitenant and Calim's one-time comrade, led the charge.  His mind and body weary and injured, with no strength left for any but the simplest spells, Calim thought fast; could he reach the city in time?

The Fifth Era was a time of great magic and might.  Heroes are a silver a dozen, with the great magical city of Moonhaven a center of commerce.  A new continent has been discovered, filled with warring people wielding technological weapons that rival the power of magic.
